CCNB Announces Mortgage Division Leadership Changes

Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaMay 31, 2023 – CCNB, Coastal Carolina National Bank, is pleased to announce Leadership changes in the Bank’s mortgage division to better serve the home lending needs of residents throughout the Carolinas.

Scott Benninga, (pictured right) an eleven-year veteran of CCNB, has been named Senior Vice President, Mortgage Operations Director. He will oversee the mortgage operations team, and assist in the technological advancements, which contributed greatly to the Bank’s ability to offer online mortgage applications to its clients.

Steve Hales, (pictured left), a six-year veteran of the Company, has been named Senior Vice President Mortgage Sales Director. Hales, who is also Aiken’s City Executive, will lead the Bank’s Mortgage Sales division and mortgage loan production statewide.

“As CCNB expands its footprint throughout South Carolina this change in our mortgage leadership will enhance our ability to grow this important division of our bank,” says Laurence Bolchoz, CCNB’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “These leadership changes will enable us to create efficiencies for our mortgage team and enhance our ability to better serve our mortgage customers,” says Bolchoz.

Benninga is originally from Manhattan, Kansas, and has been a resident of the Grand Strand since 1993. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Marketing. He is also a graduate of the South Carolina Bankers School and has completed courses through the Mortgage Bankers Association in secondary markets. Scott and his wife Sherri live in Myrtle Beach with their son Luke.

Hales, a resident of Aiken since 1998, has an extensive background in mortgage lending including assisting customers with jumbo, conventional, and new home construction loans. Hales currently serves on the Finance Committee for the Board of the United Way of Aiken, is an affiliate member of the Aiken Board of Realtors, is a member of Aiken’s Home Builders Association, and is an active member of his church. Steve and his wife Angela have two grown children, Dara and Connor, and have taken residence in the Central Savannah River Area since 1983.
